SYMSAGEL
The Mixed Water Management Syndicate of the Lys Basin, also known as SYMSAGEL, is a key organization dedicated to sustainable water resource management in the Lys River Basin in France. SYMSAGEL manages the Lys river water development scheme with enforceable regulations, focusing on flood risk prevention, wetlands restoration, erosion control, and water resource planning. They also have experience in public awareness programs.
SYMSAGEL's role involves coordinating and monitoring partner activities, testing mainstreaming solutions in two wetland-based NbS, and participating in capacity-building efforts. They will develop an action plan for the upper Lys catchment area and share experiences and results among peer groups.
