LAWPRO
Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO), managed by Tipperary County Council in Ireland, is an initiative for preserving Ireland's main water resources. They emphasize sustainable water management and work with local authorities and stakeholders, focusing on water quality and community engagement. Additionally, they have expertise in managing urban runoff (rain)water and provide training to local authority staff.
LAWPRO, as part of the ResiRiver project, aims to develop NbS for urban rainwater and surface water management, focusing on climate resilience. They plan to create a national strategy for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS), providing guidance, training, and establishing pilot projects. LAWPRO will actively promote NbS in various urban projects and collaborate with communities to design flood relief measures using NbS for the flood prone Dromroe River in County Cavan.
