The Hollyford pilot aims to determine the feasibility of managing flood risk with nature-based catchment solutions. Hollyford is a village in County Tipperary, 20km west of the town of Thurles. The village is located in a valley of the Slieve Felim Mountains. Hollyford is located on the Multeen River with two small catchments (6km2 and 7km2) draining from the north and north east to the site and has historically suffered from flood events.
